Root Kindle Fire 6.2.2 Using Modified Kindle Fire Utility

Once again, the latest update for the Kindle Fire has broken the rooting method on the device. This can be easily fixed by using a version of the Kindle Fire Utility that has been modified to use the latest version of BurritoRoot.

Step 1 - Download the Modified_Kindle_Fire_Utility.zip file.

Step 2 - Unzip the downloaded file to your desktop.

Step 3 - Connect your tablet to your computer. Tap the Disconnect button when it appears to exit USB drive mode.

Step 4 - On your computer, open the Kindle Fire Utility folder. If this is the first time you have connected your tablet to your computer, you will need to install the drivers. Do this by double-clicking install_drivers.bat. To run the utility, double-click run.bat.

Step 5 - When the Kindle Fire Utility Window appears, select option #3 – Install Permanent Root with Superuser. The rooting process will begin. Once it has completed, your tablet will reboot. Your device is now rooted.
